PricewaterhouseCoopers will continue to support the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility at GSOM SPbU in 2011–2013.
The Center was established in 2008 as a successor to the Program of the Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility at the Institute of Management Research at SPbU. In September 2009 the Center received a grant from PWC and was renamed the PricewaterhouseCoopers Center for Corporate Social Responsibility at GSOM SPbU.
The Center’s goal is to support GSOM SPbU mission — to educate and advance the national managerial elite strongly committed to the idea of implementing the principles of social responsibility and sustainable development in Russian companies and respecting interests of all stakeholders.
Among Center’s recent achievements are the scientific guidance and preparation of the national reports in social investments and corporate philanthropy of Russian companies, conducting CEMS block-seminar “Corporate Responsibility in Managerial Practice”, and hosting the 9th Annual Colloquium and the 8th PhD Conference of EABIS - The Academy of Business in Society.
The key activities of the Center for 2011–2013 are the research projects of the GOLDEN for Sustainability international research centers network, management of corporate social performance research, as well as preparation of the first basic textbook in CSR for Russian bachelors in management.
