On December 17, 2020, the results of the Leaders of Corporate Philanthropy project implemented by the AGO Donors Forum in cooperation with the Kommersant Publishing House and EY in Russia were summed up. The collection of project materials includes an analytical report “Strategies for corporate philanthropy”, prepared by the expert group of the PwC Center for CSR, including the Director of the Center, Associate Professor Yury Blagov; Researcher, Senior Lecturer Anastasia Petrova-Savchenko; and also a young researcher, 4th year Bachelor student Anush Egiian. In addition, Yury Blagov joined the project jury.
“While maintaining the popularity of such areas of corporate philanthropy as support for education, health care, ecology, social protection and development of local communities, companies are expanding the “palette” of their projects and programs, focusing, among other things, on the UN SDGs. Managing corporate philanthropy as a kind of social investment is becoming more and more professional, carried out by managers of specialized functional units,” says the final part of the analytical report.
The Leaders of Corporate Philanthropy project, initiated by the Donors Forum in 2008, is the largest national initiative in the field of corporate philanthropy, implemented on an annual basis. It includes a ranking of companies, charitable programs competition and analytical research. PwC Center for CSR at GSOM SPbU is a traditional academic partner of the project.
