Participants of the Executive MBA program "Strategic Management: Global Agenda," jointly offered by the Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) and the Business School XXI Century-Consult (Belarus), visited Belgrade from May 30th to June 4th.
This exhilarating educational week in one of Europe's most enchanting capitals was dedicated to the theme of "Entrepreneurship and Innovation," providing attendees with advanced knowledge from professors at top business schools in Europe and Russia, as well as insights from senior executives of innovative companies in Serbia.
During the academic portion of the module, the group engaged in sessions on strategic and innovation management, which helped participants understand the link between strategy and different types of innovation. Belarusian business owners and top executives explored the most effective models for commercializing industrial developments within their own companies and studied new approaches to strategy and planning. The lecture on creating innovative business models and technological innovations culminated in a workshop where participants developed innovative business models for their organizations. The training on fostering entrepreneurial thinking was conducted interactively through a workshop format, allowing participants to navigate the entrepreneurial process from searching for business ideas to developing startup business concepts.
Additionally, the group made visits to Serbian enterprises. By engaging with leaders and founders of local and international companies, participants had the opportunity to learn about cultivating corporate entrepreneurship at all organizational levels, creating an environment conducive to implementing promising ideas, and launching innovations.
The module participants also visited the Serbian office of Yandex, where they attended a master class on building sustainable business models, managing high-intellect teams, stimulating entrepreneurial behavior, and harnessing breakthrough innovations to achieve extraordinary results. The group also explored one of the most renowned vineyards in the Balkans, the Kovacevic Winery, located within the Fruska Gora Nature Reserve.
According to the participants, this was an exceptional educational experience aimed at enhancing the entrepreneurial potential of Belarusian leaders on the international stage. The next off-site session for the EMBA-1 group, in collaboration with the Business School XXI Century-Consult program, is scheduled to take place in late September at the GSOM SPbU campus in St. Petersburg.
